The Residence des Feuillants was founded
in 1963 by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart. Formerly this building was
a school; due to requests of lodging for college students in Poitiers,
there was a change and we made a choice to open the residence for women
students.
 We
want to support these young women when they start university life, encourage
them through their difficulties.
Our socio-educational project
for the residence is as follows:
- to help them towards autonomy
- to
listen to each one personally and help them to grow
- to foster
intercultural exchanges, meetings and a dialogue of the cultures
- to
support and encourage relationships and mutual aid
The hostel team are ready to listen, to be attentive to health, studies,
examinations, and the events which touch the students which they want
to talk about. All this according to the need of the individual.
